After much umming and ahhing I took Polly to be mated today. She was more than keen and Meadowdale Chaos was very pleased to see her so we are hoping she will have her litter of pups round about 21st August.

A friend of ours was organising a mini Discover Gundogs stand at the local Heavy Horse Show and asked if I'd take my ESS along. As Polly had come into season it was just Baxter and Hattie. It was a lovely day and they both loved meeting and greeting the public and behaved impeccably all day. I was so proud of them.

Today is the Nesss champ show which is a very long journey but worth it as its at a lovely venue and a very cheerful show. Both girls were placed in all their classes and the photographer managed to get a lovely photo of both girls together.

1st Jun
Southern Counties Champ show today. As its a Friday we made an early start to hopefully miss to much traffic which we did and arrived really early. Not the most successful of shows although Polly came a creditable 4th in limit.

20th May
Unusually we had 2 shows this weekend, toiday we went to Godmanchester for Mid Herts Gundog open show. our judge was Jackie Weyman and both girls did well both coming 2nd Polly in open and Hattie in graduate.

19th May
Wickford and Basildon DCS held thier open show at Billericay and once again Polly and Hattie were on show. The weather was lovely and as the show was outside it is beginning to feel more like summer. Hattie was in Post Grad which she won and then Polly came 4th in open. In the challenge Hattie pulled out all the stops and was judged Best of Breed much to my delight. We got no further in the group but I was thrilled to bits.

13th May
A closer show today just a short trip to Maidstone where Hattie, who has now worked out I'm much happier with her if she keeps all 4 feet on the ground came 2nd in Post Grad and Polyy was 3rd in open so another good day.

10th May
An early start for the journey up to Stafford for The Birmingham National Champ show. Our friend Tori and her cocker puppy Tulip came with us. We were 3rd in the ring but luckily we didn't have too long a wait and our judging started about 12.30 Hattie was in graduate bitch and came 2nd which was great, Polly was in limit and was unplaced but behaved well. Tulip won her minor puppy class so it was a happy car on the way home and the weather was dry all day which was an added bonus.

23rd Apr
Our local ringcraft had their Dog of the Year contest tonight where all the dogs that have one a match during the past year compete for the best of the year. Hattie had won 2 matches and was placed 4th so I was very pleased with her.
