Off to Herts and Essex Open Show today, just Ginni and me. Once again Ginni thought it was just a funday out but was Best Puppy in Breed and also was first in a large AV Minor Puppy Class. Nothing in the group but all in all a good day. Hopefully she will soon realise she needs to keep all 4 paws on the ground.

Off to Maidstone today with Ginni and she wasn't on her best behaviour but managed to do enough to win her puppy class and be Best Puppy in Breed and then she was placed 3rd in the gundog group so another good day.

Second show today and its a big one, the SESSS Championship show. Ginni was in Minor Puppy wher she gained 3rd place in a large class which means she has qualified for Crufts next year. she behaved herself which was also a bonus. However by the time came for her second class she decided she was bored and prceeded to misbehave and needless to say didn't figure in the prize cards. never the less I was very pleased with her and as she's a baby still not surprised.

Well the day has arrived, Ginni is now 6 months old so we went to her 1st show today. There were no breed classes so she was in AVNSC. She took everything in her stride and was placed second in a class of 7 so I was really pleased with that. After a long wait we entered the Puppy Stakes class and Ginni was placed 3rd out of 10 puppies. Unfortunately she had become bored with the waiting around and proceeded to bounce round the ring which the Judge said cost her a higher place. Never mind it was a good start to her show life.

Feb 3rd

Another ringcraft match, this time Wickford and Basildon CS and Ginni was judged Best Puppy in Match. So proud as she's not 6 months yet.

At last some news to add. Ginni is growing fast and a full on pup. we went to our First match tonight at Chelmsford & District Canine Society and Ginni was judged Best in Match and Best Puppy in Match. I was over the moon as she was the youngest one there.

Ginni's training is now starting in earnest and at ringcraft tonight she looked as if she was getting the hang of it. Long way to go but so far so good.
