At last the big event in the dog show calender, Crufts being on a Friday I decided to stay Thursday night in a hotel near the NEC to save any problems travelling through the rush hour. Both Polly & Hattie had qualified
so the 3 three of us set off at 7.00pm Thursday. The girls were really well behaved at the hotel and after a stree free journey we were all settled in the hall by 8.30. There was an entry of over 200 dogs so we didn't get in the ring until mid afternoon. Hattie in yearling and she behaved superbly and came 4th my first ever place at Crufts so I was so pleased with her. Polly next in a huge Post Grad class she showed herself off beautifully but didn't get a place. Never mind I was so pleased to qualify both my girls.

Today we all made the short trip to Maidstone. There were no classes for Ess so just for practise Hattie was in AVNSC and she won her class which was great as it was a very cold wet day and we were being judged outside.

29th Jan

Polly, Hattie and I made the journey to Reading for the Henley Open Show
we were first in the ring outside and it was freezing, but Hattie won her class and then Polly won her class and much to my delight was Best of Breed
Hattie was then in AV Gundog junior which she won and was judged Best AV Gundog which was brilliant. Polly got no further in the group but we had a very successful day

22nd Jan

A very early start today as we were going to Stafford for the 1st championship show of the year, only Hattie was going but didn't get placed. It was great to see everyone again after the xmas break.
