Today we crossed the river and went to Tunbridge Wells Open show. It was freezing and very snowy at home but luckily no snow at the venue. Not a bad entry and Hattie won her class and was judged reserve best of breed and Polly came 2nd which was a very pleasing result. Hattie then came second in a large AV class and won us some money which was even more pleasing. took me 2 days to thaw out but it was worth it.

Today Polly, Hattie and I went to Godmanchester to the Mid Herts Gundog open show. It was a very small entry but Hattie won her class and Polly came 3rd

At last the day we've been working towards all year Crufts is here. Only Hattie qualified this year as Polly was too busy being a mum. We set off at silly o'clock and had a really good journey. The weather was not kind so Hattie had to wear an assortment of clothes to make sure she arrived clean and dry. It is always a very long day but she was really well behaved and showed like a trooper. It was a very big class and we weren't luck enough to get placed this year but I still took the best dog home.

Mar 3rd

Off to Maidstone for the Folkstone Open Show to get a last bit of practise before Crufts next week. Our judge couldn't make it so Jacky Mitchell stood in at the last minute Hattie was second and Polly was third. Both showed well so had a happy day.

Feb 23rd

We've had a very quiet month on the show front as both girls have been in season' however today is the Southern Enlish Springer Spaniel Club show so after a much needed trimming and bathing session Polly, Hattie, and I made a horribly early start for the show. No success this time but both girls behaved really well.

We were hoping to go to Stafford today for the first champ show of the year but unfortunately the weather put paid to that. There was just too much snow to risk the long journey so we stayed nice and warm apart from some romps in the snow.

Polly' Hattie' And I made the journey to Slough for Bucks Open Show. We wrer being judged outside and it was freezing but Hattie wasn't bothered and won Post Grad and Polly was a very creditable 3rd in open. I'm really pleased with both my girls as this is tghe beginning of classes with the big dogs and so far they are holding their own.

A good start to the New Year, we went to a very local show SWECA and I just took H attie who won her Post Grad class and was Reseve Best of Breed. Seems as if she's getting the hang of showing but not too sure how long it will last.
