Today we went to Luton CA show and as we were 4th in the ring it was a nice civilised start. Hattie won her Junior class and Polly got 2nd in open so a successful day all round.

Today is the last major Championship Show of the year so Hattie Polly and I made an early start to go to the NEC. A trial run for Crufts next year. Hattie came a creditable 4th in junior but Polly had no luck in Limit. Never mind it was a good day and Hattie successfully negotiated the underpass so it was a useful learnig curve for her.

Today is the day we represent the breed at Discover Dogs which is an annual event held at Earls Court in London. It is a showcase for all breeds of dogs. Baxter Hattie and I had a very early start picking up Senga on the way. It was a very long day but most enjoyable. The dogs were fantastic loving all the fuss and attention they got and behaved beautifully meeting and greeting the visitors. They shared the duties with Robbie and Keltie and their owner Jackie Weyman. We eventually got home at 7pm and the drive wasn't as terrifying as I expected.

Had a super day today at the MESSS club championship show at Doncaster. Polly, Hattie and I set off early doors. Hattie has now got the hang of the showing game and came 2nd then 3rd and then got a first all wins had prize money which was a lovely bonus. Polly then was placed 1st in Post Grad and 2nd in limit which means she has qualified for crufts next year. The icing on the cake was Polly getting Best Black and White in show. What a great day.

Today Polly Hattie and made our way to Maidstone for the required eye tests. Polly's was the annual check up but for Hattie it was the first one which is always a bit of a worry, however she behaved like an angel and was passed clear exvcellent for her Gonioscopy test and clear on the others as was Polly so thats another hurdle crossed and I'm thrilled to say they are all now health checked fully and ok.

23rd Oct

Today Polly Hattie and I set off for Mid Herts Gundog open show. This was held at the Wood Green Animal Sanctuary which is not too far and as we were last in the ring not too earlier start. Hattie started well by getting "nd in her junior Breed class, Polly then got VHC in her open class. Next Hattie was in Special Beginners were she came 2nd in a large class with very little rest she then went into AV Gundog junior under Frank Kane, a very well known and respected judge and came 1st out of a class of 17. So a very good day made even better by the company of good friends.

Hattie and I went to Wickford and Basildon Limit Show this evening. There was a very good entry and Hattie did well coming 1st in both AV Junior and AV novice. We eventually got home at 11pm but it was well worth it.
